Parikia & West Paros

Port-town life, Antiparos crossings and a western coast that saves its best argument for evening.

parikia-hotels-01

Parikia is where most visitors first meet Paros, then leave too quickly for Naousa. Staying reveals a proper island town behind the ferry traffic: the old lanes around the Frankish Castle, bakeries, waterfront tables and neighbourhoods that continue beyond the port. South of town, the west coast opens towards Antiparos through Punda, Agia Irini and smaller stretches of shore shaped by wind, kitesurfing and long sunset views. Hotels are more dispersed than in Naousa, so a car remains useful. The reward is more room, easier access to Antiparos and evenings that feel less organised around being seen.

best for

• Antiparos ferries and west-coast sunsets
• Port-town restaurants and local street life
• Adults-only hotels outside the Naousa scene
• Travellers exploring southern Paros by car

skip if

• Naousa nightlife is central to the trip
• You want everything outside the hotel door
• Northern beaches are the main priority
• Strong afternoon wind frustrates you

Why stay in Parikia & West Paros?

The west offers a more practical and less performative Paros. Parikia provides shops, restaurants, ferries and enough year-round life to feel like a town rather than a summer set. Further south, Punda places Antiparos within a short crossing, while Agia Irini and the surrounding coast give hotels more land and separation than Naousa allows. The wind can be strong and beaches here are less consistently celebrated than those in the north, but the coastline has its own uses: kitesurfing, sunset swimming and easy movement between the two islands. Stay in town for walkability; move south when water, privacy and hotel space matter more.

Hotels

Seesoo Paros Beachfront Resort

Eleven apartments on the Punda shoreline, with Antiparos filling the western view.

Why stay here

Seesoo places guests directly on the narrow strait between Paros and Antiparos. Ground-floor apartments open towards the hotel’s small private beach, while upper rooms take the wider sunset view. Kitchenettes make longer stays practical, and the eleven-key scale keeps service personal without manufacturing a formal hotel atmosphere. Punda’s kitesurfing water brings more energy nearby, while Parikia and the Antiparos ferry remain within easy reach by car. Seesoo belongs on the west page because it makes the coast feel residential: coffee beside the water, an unscheduled swim and the same island appearing across the strait each evening.

Best for

Couples, longer beachfront stays and travellers combining Parikia with regular trips to Antiparos.

Mythic Paros

An adults-only hillside hotel giving western Paros a social centre beyond Parikia.

Why stay here

Mythic sits above Agia Irini, facing west across the Antiparos channel. Its 40 adults-only rooms and suites use sun-baked stone, dark timber and handmade furniture to create a warmer, more bohemian atmosphere than Paros’s usual white-on-white formula. An art gallery adds cultural weight, while the infinity pool gives the sunset a shared audience each evening. Parikia remains close enough for port-town restaurants, but the hotel has enough food, wellness and outdoor space to hold the day independently. It belongs here as the west coast’s complete hillside stay: less intimate than Seesoo, but considerably more self-contained.

Best for

Couples, west-coast sunsets and travellers who want an adults-only hotel outside Parikia.

Restaurants In Paros Crios Beach Bar & Restaurant

Where to Eat Nearby

Crios Beach Bar & Restaurant

Crios is about the day as much as the food. You come off the beach, stay for a drink, then something to eat follows naturally. It moves between beach bar and restaurant without needing to define itself. It’s one of those restaurants in Paros that works because it fits the rhythm of the island.

Parikia & West Paros or Naousa & North Paros?

Parikia and the west suit travellers who want ferry access, sunset-facing hotels and a town with more ordinary island life beneath the visitor traffic. Antiparos is easier to fold into the trip, and hotels outside Parikia generally provide more separation from the evening scene. The Revel Stay guide to Naousa & North Paros covers the island’s more polished social centre, with better-known beaches, stronger nightlife and a denser collection of design hotels. Choose the west for independence, Antiparos and quieter evenings. Choose Naousa when restaurants, harbour energy and the island’s most established hotel scene should remain close.
